California Poppies - [Eschscholzia californica]
Big Sur Coastline, California, United StatesI came upon this patch along the highway as we traveled south towards San Simeon. I had seen it a few weeks before. There were tons of poppies blooming and I had a new lens with me that I wanted to try out an idea I had when I was last there. It came out exactly how I pictured it after a few trys. Poppies are one of my favorite flowers. They always bring a smile to my face.
Size: up to 13 - 152 cm (~5 - 60 inches) Each Petal is 2 - 6 cm (3/4 to 2-1/4 inches) long

This photo image is made by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. It has a glossy finish which produces colors that are very vibrant and the luminescence is breathtaking. The ultra-hard scratch-resistant surface is waterproof/weatherproof and can be cleaned easily with any commercial glass cleaner (avoid direct sunlight). It is then mounted on one inch thick aluminum frame. Comes with all the hardware to make it easy for you to put it right on your wall.

How archival are Metal Prints?
Images printed with the MetalPrints process will last for generations when displayed indoors and out of direct sunlight. Like any fine art print, MetalPrints should not be exposed to direct sunlight or high outdoor temperatures. MetalPrints have an additional benefit over giclee or photographic processes in that they are waterproof and have an ultra-hard scratch resistant coating. The archival value of a print should be judged not only by its resistance to degradation by U.V. light and ozone exposure, but also to moisture and surface damage. When these factors are brought into the equation, MetalPrints are an excellent way to preserve an image.
